New Orleans is home to some of the world’s best cuisine. The mix of immigrants that established this city has left a lasting impression on the food served here. While New Orleans has a long list of amazing places to eat, we’re going to guide you through what we think are seven of the best places to eat in New Orleans.

Commander’s Palace

Since 1893, the Brenan Family has been serving a refined version of Creole cuisine at Commander’s Palace. This restaurant is a landmark in New Orleans’s Garden District is well known for the award-winning quality of its food, having won seven James Beard Foundation Awards. Be sure to try the Turtle Soup au Sherry, as it’s arguably the best in the world.

Emeril’s Delmonico

Situated on picturesque St. Charles Avenue, world-famous Chef Emeril Lagasse has brought to life a truly New Orleans experience in Emeril’s Delmonico, a building that was opened in 1895. Best known for their wine program and tableside Bananas Foster, a dessert born in this city.

Domenica Restaurant

Located in the historic Roosevelt Hotel, Domenica Restaurant is an authentic Italian restaurant offering classic dishes with a New Orleans flair. Enjoy a cheese board and one of the wonderful wines.

Coquette

Killer PoBoys started as a food window inside a French Quarter but now has a dedicated standalone restaurant that serves both classic and innovative sandwiches. All of their sandwiches are served on famous Dong Phuong bread, which is baked locally.
