The Rise of Donor Collectives in College Sports

College sports are big business, with the top teams generating millions in revenue each year. But until recently, the athletes themselves saw little of that money due to strict NCAA rules prohibiting payment. Now, with new policies allowing athletes to profit off their name, image and likeness (NIL), donor collectives have emerged as a popular way for fans and boosters to funnel money to college players.
